Principal Kathy A.I.S.T.D.
Kathy started dancing at the age of 7. She studied dance throughout her youth which culminated in her training as a dancer at Performers college. Kathy completed a 3 year full time course studying in Classical Ballet, English & American Tap, Modern Theatre, Jazz, Street Dance. She graduated with a Diploma and full teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD)
Upon graduation Kathy danced professionally and travelled extensively throughout Europe and the Carribean working for professional dance, and cruise companies.
During her professional career Kathy has worked with Kylie Minogue, Take That, Michael Ball, Meatloaf, Wet, Wet, Wet and also Cheerleading for The London Monarchs and Manchester Giants … to name but a few. She has also performed in various pantomimes up and down the country.
Kathy’s dance career has also seen her perform on some of the most famous stages including The Royal Albert Hall, The Palladium (Royal Variety Show), NEC, Wembley Stadium, Blackpool Tower and Kensington Rooftop Gardens.
From a commercial perspective Kathy has worked on Trade Shows, Hair Shows and Fashion Shows which include Coca Cola, Reebok, Adidas, Mercedes, 02, Wella and Redkin.
Considered such a professional Kathy has judged dance competitions with the likes of Lionel Blair, Wayne Sleep, and Bonnie Langford.
Kathy’s career has moved on to teaching and she has taught all grades and ages throughout the UK including dance workshops.
Kathy founded Streets Ahead Dance Company; street dance classes in 2011 and Streets Ahead Acro Academy; Acro dance classes in 2021. Kathy believes that dance and performing gives children and adults alike the confidence and skills to achieve more in all aspects of their life.

JENNIFER LEE L.I.S.T.D.
Jennifer trained in Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre, Jazz, Hip hop, Disco freestyle, Latin American, Ballroom, Contempory, Singing and Acting for 3 years at Merseyside Dance and Drama centre graduating with a Diploma and full teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. She then went on to dance professionally around the world. Jennifer has danced with numerous professional dance and cruise companies and has travelled as far as Japan and the U.S.A. She has also had various T.V. roles which include 'And the beat goes on', 'Blood on the dole' and Hollyoaks. She has judged various dance competitions and has judged alongside Wayne Sleep and Bonnie Langford.
In between dance contracts she gained Licentiate status in Disco Freestyle with the I.S.T.D. She now regularly teaches dance work shops at various events and in schools as well as running X-press Performers and judging National dance competitions.
